The Tragedy of Al-Baqi
The 8th of Shawwal, known as Yaum-e-Gham (The Day of Sorrow), marks one of the darkest days in Islamic history. On this day in 1344 AH (1926 CE), the holy shrines and tombs in the Jannat al-Baqi cemetery in Medina were razed to the ground by the ruling Wahhabi forces. (Source: Kashf al-Irtiyab)
The Destroyed Sanctuaries
The demolished shrines included those of four infallible Imams: Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba, Imam Ali al-Sajjad, Imam Muhammad al-Baqir, and Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (a.s.). The shrines of the Prophet's wives, aunts, and many prominent companions were also destroyed. Today, these luminaries lie under the open sky without even a basic structure to shade their graves.
Aamal and Responsibility
Shia Muslims and lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt globally observe the 8th of Shawwal with deep grief, holding protests and majalis to condemn this cultural and religious desecration. Believers recite the Ziyarat of the Imams of Baqi and fervently pray for the day when these holy shrines will be gloriously rebuilt.
আল-বাকির ট্র্যাজেডি

ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত পবিত্র স্থান
ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত মাজারগুলোর মধ্যে চারজন নিষ্পাপ ইমামের মাজার ছিল: ইমাম হাসান আল-মুজতবা, ইমাম আলি আল-সাজ্জাদ, ইমাম মুহাম্মদ আল-বাকির এবং ইমাম জাফর আল-সাদিক (আ.)। নবীর স্ত্রী, ফুফু এবং অনেক বিশিষ্ট সাহাবীর মাজারও ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল। আজ, এই মহান ব্যক্তিত্বরা খোলা আকাশের নিচে শুয়ে আছেন, তাদের কবরে ছায়া দেওয়ার মতো কোনো সাধারণ কাঠামোও নেই।
আমল এবং দায়িত্ব
বিশ্বব্যাপী শিয়া মুসলমানরা এবং আহলে বাইতের প্রেমিকরা গভীর শোকের সাথে ৮ শাওয়াল পালন করেন, এই সাংস্কৃতিক ও ধর্মীয় অবমাননার নিন্দা জানাতে প্রতিবাদ ও মজলিসের আয়োজন করেন। মুমিনরা বাকির ইমামদের জিয়ারত পাঠ করেন এবং সেই দিনের জন্য অধীর আগ্রহে প্রার্থনা করেন যেদিন এই পবিত্র মাজারগুলো জাঁকজমকপূর্ণভাবে পুনর্নির্মিত হবে।
