Imam Musa al-Kadhim (a.s.) was born on the 7th of Safar 128 AH in the village of Al-Abwa, between Mecca and Medina. His title 'Al-Kadhim' means 'the one who swallows his anger', reflecting his extraordinary patience despite enduring immense hardships from the Abbasid caliphs. (Source: Al-Irshad)
His Life and Legacy
He lived during the oppressive reigns of Mansur, Mahdi, Hadi, and Harun al-Rashid. Despite spending much of his life in dark dungeons, his spiritual aura influenced even his jailers, converting many to the path of the Ahl al-Bayt. He is revered as 'Bab al-Hawaij' (The Door of Fulfilled Needs) because Allah frequently answers prayers made through his intercession.

While some celebrate his birth, this day is also marked by many as the martyrdom of Imam Hassan (a.s.). Believers who celebrate his birth recite his Ziyarat and offer special prayers, reflecting on his incredible forbearance and piety.
ধৈর্যশীল ইমাম
১২৮ হিজরির ৭ সফর, মক্কা ও মদিনার মধ্যবর্তী আল-আবুয়া গ্রামে ইমাম মুসা আল-কাজিম (আ.) জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তাঁর উপাধি 'আল-কাজিম'-এর অর্থ 'যিনি রাগ গিলে ফেলেন', যা আব্বাসীয় খলিফাদের দ্বারা অপরিসীম কষ্ট সহ্য করার পরও তাঁর অসাধারণ ধৈর্যের প্রতিফলন ঘটায়। (সূত্র: আল-ইরশাদ)
তাঁর জীবন ও অবদান
তিনি মনসুর, মাহদী, হাদী এবং হারুনুর রশিদের অত্যাচারী শাসনামলে বসবাস করতেন। জীবনের অনেকটা সময় অন্ধকার কারাগারে কাটানো সত্ত্বেও, তাঁর আধ্যাত্মিক আভা এমনকি তাঁর কারারক্ষীদেরও প্রভাবিত করেছিল এবং অনেককে আহলে বাইতের পথে ধর্মান্তরিত করেছিল। তাঁকে 'বাব আল-হাওয়াইজ' (প্রয়োজন পূরণের দরজা) হিসেবে সম্মান করা হয় কারণ তাঁর সুপারিশের মাধ্যমে করা দোয়া আল্লাহ প্রায়ই কবুল করেন।
৭ সফরের আমল
যদিও কেউ কেউ তাঁর জন্ম উদযাপন করেন, এই দিনটি অনেকের দ্বারা ইমাম হাসানের (আ.) শাহাদত হিসেবেও পালিত হয়। যারা তাঁর জন্ম উদযাপন করেন তারা তাঁর জিয়ারত পাঠ করেন এবং বিশেষ নামাজ আদায় করেন, তাঁর অবিশ্বাস্য সহনশীলতা এবং তাকওয়ার কথা স্মরণ করেন।
