The Captives in Kufa
On the 12th of Muharram, the holy captives of the Ahl al-Bayt were brought into the city of Kufa. The city whose people had written thousands of letters inviting Imam Hussain (a.s.) now stood as spectators to his family's humiliation. The severed heads of the martyrs were paraded on spears ahead of the caravan.
Sermons of Truth
Despite being a captive and in physical distress, Lady Zainab (s.a.) delivered a sermon so powerful that it reminded the people of the eloquence of her father, Imam Ali (a.s.). She condemned the Kufans for their betrayal, bringing many to tears of shame. Imam Sajjad (a.s.) also addressed the crowd, firmly establishing their identity as the household of the Prophet and exposing the tyranny of Yazid. (Source: Amali of Sheikh Mufid)
Significance
The 12th of Muharram is remembered as a day of immense sorrow but also the day the truth of Karbala began to spread. The Aamal for this day include continuing the mourning and reflecting on the courage of Lady Zainab (s.a.) in the face of tyranny.
কুফায় বন্দীরা
১২ মহররম, আহলে বাইতের পবিত্র বন্দীদের কুফা শহরে আনা হয়। যে শহরের লোকেরা ইমাম হুসাইন (আ.)-কে আমন্ত্রণ জানিয়ে হাজার হাজার চিঠি লিখেছিল, তারা আজ তাঁর পরিবারের অবমাননার দর্শক হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছিল। শহীদদের ছিন্ন মস্তক কাফেলার সামনে বর্শায় বিদ্ধ করে প্রদর্শন করা হয়।
সত্যের ভাষণ
বন্দী ও শারীরিক দুর্দশায় থাকা সত্ত্বেও, হযরত জয়নব (সালামুল্লাহ আলাইহি) এমন এক জোরালো ভাষণ দেন যা মানুষকে তাঁর পিতা ইমাম আলী (আ.)-এর বাগ্মিতার কথা স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয়। তিনি কুফাবাসীদের তাদের বিশ্বাসঘাতকতার জন্য নিন্দা করেন, যার ফলে অনেকে লজ্জায় কেঁদে ফেলে। ইমাম সাজ্জাদ (আ.)-ও জনতার উদ্দেশে ভাষণ দেন, নবীর পরিবার হিসেবে তাদের পরিচয় দৃঢ়ভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন এবং ইয়াজিদের স্বৈরাচার উন্মোচন করেন। (সূত্র: আমালি, শেখ মুফিদ)
গুরুত্ব
১২ মহররম অপরিমেয় শোকের দিন হিসেবে স্মরণ করা হয়, তবে এটি সেই দিন যেদিন কারবালার সত্য ছড়িয়ে পড়তে শুরু করে। এই দিনের আমলগুলোর মধ্যে শোক পালন চালিয়ে যাওয়া এবং স্বৈরাচারের মুখে হযরত জয়নবের (সালামুল্লাহ আলাইহি) সাহসিকতার কথা স্মরণ করা অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
