The Day of Captivity
Following the massacre of Ashura, the 11th of Muharram was a day of unimaginable grief and hardship. The enemy looted the bodies of the martyrs, set fire to the tents of the Prophet's household, and stripped the women of their veils. The Role of Lady Zainab (s.a.)
Lady Zainab (s.a.), the sister of Imam Hussain (a.s.), took on the monumental responsibility of protecting the captives and Imam Sajjad (a.s.). When the caravan passed by the headless bodies of their loved ones on the battlefield, Lady Zainab recited heart-rending elegies that moved even the enemy soldiers to tears.
Significance
The 11th of Muharram (Sham-e-Ghariban) represents the beginning of the mission of Lady Zainab (s.a.) and Imam Sajjad (a.s.) to spread the message of Karbala. Majalis focus on the plight of the captives, teaching resilience, patience, and the power of truth in the face of absolute tyranny.
বন্দীদশার দিন
আশুরার গণহত্যার পর, ১১ মহররম ছিল অকল্পনীয় শোক ও কষ্টের দিন। শত্রুরা শহীদদের দেহ থেকে জিনিসপত্র লুট করে, নবীর পরিবারের তাঁবুগুলোতে আগুন ধরিয়ে দেয় এবং নারীদের পর্দা কেড়ে নেয়। বেঁচে থাকা নারী, শিশু এবং গুরুতর অসুস্থ ইমাম আলী ইবনে হুসাইন (ইমাম সাজ্জাদ, আ.)-কে শেকল দিয়ে বেঁধে জিনবিহীন উটের পিঠে বসানো হয়। (সূত্র: তারিখে ইয়াকুবি)
হযরত জয়নবের (সালামুল্লাহ আলাইহি) ভূমিকা
ইমাম হুসাইন (আ.)-এর বোন হযরত জয়নব (সালামুল্লাহ আলাইহি) বন্দীদের এবং ইমাম সাজ্জাদ (আ.)-কে রক্ষা করার এক বিশাল দায়িত্ব গ্রহণ করেন। কাফেলা যখন যুদ্ধক্ষেত্রে তাদের প্রিয়জনদের মস্তকবিহীন দেহের পাশ দিয়ে যাচ্ছিল, তখন হযরত জয়নব এমন হৃদয়বিদারক শোকগীতি আবৃত্তি করেছিলেন যা শত্রু সৈন্যদেরও কাঁদিয়েছিল।
গুরুত্ব
১১ মহররম (শামে গরিবা) হযরত জয়নব (সালামুল্লাহ আলাইহি) এবং ইমাম সাজ্জাদ (আ.)-এর কারবালার বাণী ছড়িয়ে দেওয়ার মিশনের সূচনা চিহ্নিত করে। মজলিসগুলো বন্দীদের দুর্দশার ওপর আলোকপাত করে, যা চরম স্বৈরাচারের মুখে ধৈর্য, সহনশীলতা এবং সত্যের শক্তির শিক্ষা দেয়।
