The Birth of the Final Messenger
According to Shia tradition, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born on the 17th of Rabi' al-Awwal in the Year of the Elephant (570 CE) in Mecca. His birth brought divine light to a world plunged in the darkness of ignorance (Jahiliyyah). Miracles accompanied his birth, including the trembling of the palace of the Persian Emperor and the extinguishing of the sacred fire of Zoroastrians.
His Life and Contribution
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the 'Seal of the Prophets' and a mercy to the worlds. He endured immense hardships to establish Islam, leaving behind two weighty things (Thaqalayn): the Holy Quran and his Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), to guide humanity until the Day of Judgment. Aamal for 17th Rabi' al-Awwal
This is a day of great Eid for Muslims. Recommended acts (aamal) include taking a ghusl (bath), fasting (which carries the reward of fasting for a year), giving charity, and reciting the Ziyarat of the Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Ali (a.s.). It is also highly recommended to recite Salawat abundantly.
শেষ নবীর জন্ম
শিয়া ঐতিহ্য অনুযায়ী, পবিত্র নবী মুহাম্মদ (সা.) হাতির বছরে (৫৭০ খ্রিস্টাব্দ) মক্কায় ১৭ রবিউল আউয়াল জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তাঁর জন্ম অজ্ঞতার অন্ধকারে (জাহিলিয়া) নিমজ্জিত বিশ্বে ঐশী আলো নিয়ে আসে। তাঁর জন্মের সাথে সাথে পারস্য সম্রাটের রাজপ্রাসাদ কেঁপে ওঠা এবং জরাথুস্ট্রিয়ানদের পবিত্র আগুন নিভে যাওয়ার মতো অলৌকিক ঘটনা ঘটেছিল।
তাঁর জীবন ও অবদান
নবী মুহাম্মদ (সা.) হলেন 'খাতামুন্নাবিয়ীন' (নবীদের সীলমোহর) এবং বিশ্বজগতের জন্য রহমত। ইসলাম প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য তিনি অপরিসীম কষ্ট সহ্য করেন এবং কিয়ামত পর্যন্ত মানবজাতিকে পথ দেখানোর জন্য দুটি মূল্যবান বস্তু (সাকালাইন) রেখে যান: পবিত্র কুরআন এবং তাঁর আহলে বাইত (আ.)। (সূত্র: হায়াতুল কুলুব, আল্লামা মাজলিসি)
১৭ রবিউল আউয়ালের আমল
এটি মুসলমানদের জন্য এক মহান ঈদের দিন। সুপারিশকৃত আমলগুলোর মধ্যে রয়েছে গোসল করা, রোজা রাখা (যার সওয়াব এক বছর রোজা রাখার সমান), দান করা এবং নবী (সা.) ও ইমাম আলী (আ.)-এর জিয়ারত পাঠ করা। প্রচুর পরিমাণে দরুদ (সালাওয়াত) পাঠ করাও অত্যন্ত সুপারিশকৃত।
