The Eve of the Sacrifice
Tasu'a is the 9th day of Muharram. On this day, Umar ibn Sa'd's army advanced to attack the camp. Imam Hussain (a.s.) sent Hazrat Abbas (a.s.) to negotiate a delay of one night. The Imam said, 'By Allah, He knows how much I love to pray to Him, recite His book, and make plenty of supplications and seek forgiveness.' (Source: Al-Irshad)
The Test of Loyalty
During the night, Imam Hussain (a.s.) gathered his companions, extinguished the lamps, and released them from their pledge of allegiance, urging them to leave and save their lives. None left. Their historic responses of loyalty, such as those from Muslim ibn Awsaja and Zuhayr ibn Qayn, remain a beacon of true faith.
Aamal for Tasu'a
It is recommended to stay awake during the night of Tasu'a, engaging in prayers, reciting Ziyarat Ashura, and seeking forgiveness. Believers reflect on the loyalty of the Imam's companions and pray for such steadfastness in their own faith.
আত্মত্যাগের প্রাক্কালে
তাসুয়া হলো ৯ মহররম। এই দিনে উমর ইবনে সাদের বাহিনী শিবিরে আক্রমণ করতে অগ্রসর হয়। ইমাম হুসাইন (আ.) হযরত আব্বাস (আ.)-কে পাঠিয়ে এক রাত বিলম্বের জন্য আলোচনা করেন। ইমাম বলেছিলেন, 'আল্লাহর কসম, তিনি জানেন আমি তাঁর কাছে প্রার্থনা করতে, তাঁর কিতাব তিলাওয়াত করতে, প্রচুর দোয়া করতে এবং ক্ষমা চাইতে কতটা ভালোবাসি।' (সূত্র: আল-ইরশাদ)
আনুগত্যের পরীক্ষা
রাতের বেলা, ইমাম হুসাইন (আ.) তাঁর সঙ্গীদের একত্র করেন, প্রদীপ নিভিয়ে দেন এবং তাদের আনুগত্যের শপথ থেকে মুক্ত করে দিয়ে জীবন বাঁচাতে চলে যেতে বলেন। কিন্তু কেউ যায়নি। মুসলিম ইবনে আওসাজা এবং জোহায়র ইবনে কায়েনের মতো সঙ্গীদের আনুগত্যের ঐতিহাসিক উত্তরগুলো প্রকৃত বিশ্বাসের আলোকবর্তিকা হয়ে আছে।
তাসুয়ার আমল
তাসুয়ার রাতে জেগে থেকে নামাজ পড়া, জিয়ারতে আশুরা পাঠ করা এবং ক্ষমা চাওয়ার সুপারিশ করা হয়। মুমিনরা ইমামের সঙ্গীদের আনুগত্য নিয়ে চিন্তা করেন এবং নিজেদের বিশ্বাসে এমন অবিচলতার জন্য প্রার্থনা করেন।
