Lineage and Background

Muqsit ibn Zuhayr al-Taghlibi was the third of the brave Taghlibi brothers (alongside Qasit and Kurdus). Raised in a family profoundly devoted to the Prophet's household, Muqsit served under the banner of Imam Ali (a.s.) in all his major military campaigns. His military expertise and steadfast faith made him a respected figure among the Shia of Kufa.

Role at Karbala

Muqsit journeyed to Karbala with his brothers, evading the heavily guarded borders of Kufa to reach Imam Husayn (a.s.). He spent the night of Ashura in deep prayer and preparation. On the 10th of Muharram, when the enemy launched their first comprehensive attack, Muqsit defended the tents of the Imam with unmatched valor. He fell as a martyr, completing the ultimate sacrifice of the three brothers for the preservation of Islam.
