What this site stores about you
One cookie, named “lang”, holding either “en” or “bn”. It records which language you chose so the site can show it again on your next visit. It contains nothing else and identifies nobody.
Counting how often a page is read
When you open a page, this site adds one to a count for that page, on that date. That is the whole record: a page, a day, and a number. It is kept here, on this site’s own server - no third-party analytics script is loaded, and this site’s security policy would block one if anybody added it.
And what that counting cannot tell us
Nothing stored with those counts identifies you. There is no analytics cookie, no identifier of any kind, and your address is not saved with them. So this site cannot say how many people visited, cannot tell a returning reader from a new one, and cannot connect any page to any person - not because we choose not to look, but because none of it was ever written down. What you read here is nobody’s business but yours.
What you search for
Search words are counted the same way, so that we can see what readers are looking for and add what is missing. A count of the word, and the date. Nothing that links it to you.
If you report a problem
The report form stores the kind of problem you choose, the page or line you reported from (or the page you name), what you type, and your email address only if you choose to give one. Your IP address is recorded briefly to limit automated abuse of that form - it is not used for anything else. When it sends you back to the page you were reading, a cookie that lasts two minutes tells that page to say thank you; it holds nothing but “1” and is removed as soon as it is read.
Links to other sites
Articles here link to external sources such as al-islam.org. Those sites have their own policies and this one does not cover them.
