57. Mentioning the Household of Muhammad
This is a short supplication of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (a.s.) in remembrance of the family of Muhammad (s.a.w.). It is one of the extra supplications added at the end of some copies of the Sahifa. It says that Allah honoured them, made them the heirs of the prophets, and made people’s hearts yearn toward them. It ends by asking Allah to deal with us, in faith, in this world and in the next, as befits Him.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমানির রাহীম
পরম করুণাময়, অসীম দয়ালু আল্লাহর নামে।
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The supplication of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (a.s.) in mentioning the family of Muhammad (a.s.):
اَللَّهُمَّ يَا مَنْ خَصَّ مُحَمَّداً وَآلَهُ بِالْكَرَامَةِ
আল্লাহুম্মা ইয়া মান খাসসা মুহাম্মাদান ওয়া আলাহূ বিল কারামাহ
হে আল্লাহ, হে সেই সত্তা, যিনি মুহাম্মাদ ও তাঁর পরিবারকে বিশেষ সম্মান দিয়েছেন,
Allahumma ya man khassa Muhammadan wa alahu bil karamah
O Allah, O He who singled out Muhammad and his family for honour,
وَحَبَاهُمْ بِالرِّسَالَةِ
ওয়া হাবাহুম বির রিসালাহ
রিসালাত দিয়ে তাঁদের অনুগ্রহ করেছেন,
wa habahum bir risalah
favoured them with the message,
وَخَصَّصَهُمْ بِالْوَسِيلَةِ
ওয়া খাসসাসাহুম বিল ওয়াসীলাহ
ওসিলার মর্যাদা তাঁদের জন্য নির্দিষ্ট করেছেন,
wa khassasahum bil wasilah
set apart the means of approach for them,
وَجَعَلَهُمْ وَرَثَةَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ
ওয়া জাআলাহুম ওয়ারাসাতাল আমবিয়া
তাঁদের নবীদের উত্তরাধিকারী বানিয়েছেন,
wa ja'alahum warathatal ambiya'
made them the heirs of the prophets,
وَخَتَمَ بِهِمُ الْأَوْصِيَاءَ وَالْأَئِمَّةَ
ওয়া খাতামা বিহিমুল আওসিয়াআ ওয়াল আইম্মাহ
তাঁদের দিয়ে ওয়াসি ও ইমামদের ধারা শেষ করেছেন,
wa khatama bihimul awsiya'a wal a'immah
sealed with them the line of executors and Imams,
وَعَلَّمَهُمْ عِلْمَ مَا كَانَ وَعِلْمَ مَا بَقِيَ
ওয়া আল্লামাহুম ইলমা মা কানা ওয়া ইলমা মা বাকিয়া
যা ঘটে গেছে আর যা বাকি আছে, তার জ্ঞান তাঁদের শিখিয়েছেন,
wa 'allamahum 'ilma ma kana wa 'ilma ma baqi
taught them the knowledge of what has been and of what remains,
وَجَعَلَ أَفْئِدَةً مِنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ
ওয়া জাআলা আফইদাতাম মিনান নাসি তাহউই ইলাইহিম
আর মানুষের মধ্যে কিছু অন্তরকে তাঁদের দিকে আকৃষ্ট করেছেন। (১৪:৩৭)
wa ja'ala af'idatam minan nasi tahwi ilayhim
and made some hearts among people yearn toward them (14:37).
فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ
ফাসাল্লি আলা মুহাম্মাদিও ওয়া আলিহিত তাহিরীন
তাই মুহাম্মাদ ও তাঁর পবিত্র পরিবারের ওপর দরুদ পাঠান,
Fasalli 'ala Muhammadiw wa alihit tahirin
So bless Muhammad and his pure family,
وَافْعَلْ بِنَا مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ فِي الدِّينِ وَالدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ
ওয়াফআল বিনা মা আনতা আহলুহূ ফিদ দীনি ওয়াদ দুনইয়া ওয়াল আখিরাহ
আর দ্বীন, দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে আমাদের সাথে তেমন আচরণ করুন, যা আপনার মর্যাদার উপযুক্ত।
waf'al bina ma anta ahluhu fid dini wad dunya wal akhirah
and deal with us as befits You in our faith, in this world and in the next.
إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
ইন্নাকা আলা কুল্লি শাইইন কাদীর
নিশ্চয়ই আপনি সবকিছুর ওপর ক্ষমতাবান। (৩:২৬)
Innaka 'ala kulli shay'in qadir
Surely You have power over all things (3:26).
