Life and Role at Karbala
Suwayd ibn Amr ibn Abi Muta (r.a.) was a noble and brave warrior of the Khath'am tribe. He was a man of immense piety and courage. On the day of Ashura, he fought ferociously until he received severe wounds and fell to the ground unconscious. The enemy soldiers, assuming he was dead, left him on the battlefield.
Later, upon hearing the joyous shouts of the Umayyad army proclaiming that Imam Husayn (a.s) had been killed, Suwayd regained consciousness. Despite his critical condition, he drew a dagger hidden under his clothes and attacked the enemy forces once more. He continued to fight with his last ounce of strength until he was finally martyred by Urwa ibn Batar and Zayd ibn Ruqad. He is historically recognized as the last companion to fall before the martyrdom of the Imam.

জীবন ও কারবালায় ভূমিকা
সুওয়াইদ ইবনে আমর ইবনে আবি মুতা (রা.) ছিলেন খাশআম গোত্রের এক মহীয়ান ও সাহসী যোদ্ধা। তিনি অপরিসীম তাকওয়া ও সাহসের অধিকারী ছিলেন। আশুরার দিন, তিনি প্রচণ্ডভাবে যুদ্ধ করেন এবং মারাত্মক আঘাত পেয়ে জ্ঞান হারিয়ে মাটিতে লুটিয়ে পড়েন। শত্রুরা তাঁকে মৃত ভেবে যুদ্ধক্ষেত্রে ফেলে রেখে যায়।
পরবর্তীতে, উমাইয়া বাহিনীর উল্লাসধ্বনি শুনে তিনি বুঝতে পারেন যে ইমাম হোসাইন (আ.) শহীদ হয়েছেন। তখন তাঁর জ্ঞান ফিরে আসে। মুমূর্ষু অবস্থায় থাকা সত্ত্বেও তিনি তাঁর কাপড়ের নিচে লুকিয়ে রাখা একটি ছোরা বের করে পুনরায় শত্রুপক্ষকে আক্রমণ করেন। তিনি তাঁর শেষ শক্তি দিয়ে যুদ্ধ চালিয়ে যান, যতক্ষণ না উরওয়া ইবনে বাতার এবং যায়েদ ইবনে রুকাদ তাকে শহীদ করে। ঐতিহাসিকভাবে তিনি ইমাম হোসাইন (আ.) এর শাহাদাতের পূর্বে শহীদ হওয়া সর্বশেষ সঙ্গী হিসেবে স্বীকৃত।
