Sa'd (also referenced as Sa'id in some texts) was the freed slave of Amr ibn Khalid al-Saydawi. True to the spirit of devotion that characterized the companions of Imam Husayn (a), Sa'd's social status as a freed slave did not diminish his profound faith and courage. He willingly accompanied his master, escaping Kufa to join the Imam's caravan. Texts cited on Al-Islam.org highlight the extraordinary bond between the master and his freedman, united in their love for the Ahl al-Bayt (a).
Role at Karbala and Martyrdom
On the Day of Ashura, Sa'd did not hold back. He stood shoulder to shoulder with his master Amr, along with Majma' and Jabir. When the group initiated their coordinated charge against the army of Umar ibn Sa'd, Sa'd fought with the bravery of a free noble. After the group was surrounded and temporarily relieved by the heroic intervention of Al-Abbas (a), Sa'd, despite severe injuries, returned to the fray. He was martyred in the same location as his master and companions, cementing his legacy as one of the eternal heroes of Karbala.

কারবালায় ভূমিকা এবং শাহাদাত
আশুরার দিনে, সা'দ পিছিয়ে থাকেননি। তিনি তার মনিব আমর, মাজমা' এবং জাবিরের সাথে কাঁধে কাঁধ মিলিয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন। যখন দলটি উমর ইবনে সা'দের সেনাবাহিনীর বিরুদ্ধে তাদের সমন্বিত আক্রমণ শুরু করে, তখন সা'দ একজন স্বাধীন অভিজাতের সাহসিকতার সাথে যুদ্ধ করেন। দলটি অবরুদ্ধ হওয়ার পর এবং আল-আব্বাসের (আ.) বীরত্বপূর্ণ হস্তক্ষেপে সাময়িকভাবে মুক্ত হওয়ার পর, গুরুতর আঘাত সত্ত্বেও সা'দ আবার যুদ্ধে ফিরে আসেন। তিনি তার মনিব এবং সঙ্গীদের সাথে একই স্থানে শহীদ হন, যা কারবালার চিরন্তন বীরদের একজন হিসেবে তার উত্তরাধিকারকে সুদৃঢ় করে।
