The Final Marriage
Maymuna was the last wife of the Prophet (PBUH). She offered herself in marriage to him while he was visiting Mecca to perform the 'Umrat al-Qada (the fulfilled pilgrimage) after the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah. Their marriage took place in a place called Sarif, just outside Mecca.
A Life of Virtue
She was widely known among the companions for her intense devotion to prayer and fasting. Aisha herself famously testified that Maymuna was "the most pious, and the most mindful of her ties of kinship" among them. She adhered strictly to the pure teachings of the Prophet.
A Poetic Ending
She outlived the Prophet by many decades. In Shia tradition, she is held in high esteem for avoiding the political turmoil and civil wars that plagued the Ummah after the Prophet's death, remaining aloof from factions that opposed Imam Ali (a.s.). She passed away at Sarif, famously requesting to be buried in the exact spot where her bridal tent had been pitched years ago, a beautiful testament to her love for the Prophet.
চূড়ান্ত বিবাহ
মায়মুনা ছিলেন নবী (সা.)-এর শেষ স্ত্রী। হুদাইবিয়ার চুক্তির পর 'ওমরাতুল কাদা' (পূরণকৃত তীর্থযাত্রা) সম্পাদনের জন্য নবী যখন মক্কায় গিয়েছিলেন, তখন তিনি তাঁকে বিয়ের প্রস্তাব দিয়েছিলেন। মক্কার ঠিক বাইরে সারিফ নামক স্থানে তাঁদের বিয়ে হয়েছিল।
পুণ্যের জীবন
তিনি প্রার্থনা এবং রোজার প্রতি তাঁর তীব্র ভক্তির জন্য সাহাবীদের মধ্যে ব্যাপকভাবে পরিচিত ছিলেন। স্বয়ং আয়েশা বিখ্যাতভাবে সাক্ষ্য দিয়েছিলেন যে, মায়মুনা ছিলেন তাঁদের মধ্যে "সবচেয়ে বেশি ধার্মিক, এবং তাঁর আত্মীয়তার সম্পর্কের প্রতি সবচেয়ে বেশি মনোযোগী"। তিনি কঠোরভাবে নবীর বিশুদ্ধ শিক্ষা মেনে চলতেন।
একটি কাব্যিক সমাপ্তি
তিনি নবীর পর কয়েক দশক বেঁচে ছিলেন। শিয়া ঐতিহ্যে, নবীর মৃত্যুর পর উম্মাহকে জর্জরিত করা রাজনৈতিক অস্থিরতা এবং গৃহযুদ্ধ এড়ানোর জন্য তাঁকে অত্যন্ত সম্মান করা হয়, এবং তিনি ইমাম আলী (আ.)-এর বিরোধিতাকারী দলগুলো থেকে দূরে ছিলেন। তিনি সারিফে ইন্তেকাল করেন এবং বিখ্যাতভাবে অনুরোধ করেছিলেন যেন তাঁকে ঠিক সেই স্থানে সমাহিত করা হয় যেখানে বহু বছর আগে তাঁর বিয়ের তাঁবু খাটানো হয়েছিল, যা নবীর প্রতি তাঁর ভালোবাসার একটি সুন্দর প্রমাণ।
