Early Life and Marriage
Lady Khadija (s.a.) was one of the most successful, wealthy, and respected merchants in pre-Islamic Arabia. Impressed by the honesty and integrity of a young Muhammad (PBUH), whom she had hired to manage her trade caravans, she proposed marriage. Their marriage was built on profound mutual respect, love, and spiritual alignment.
The First Believer
When the Prophet (PBUH) received his first revelation in the Cave of Hira and returned home trembling with the weight of the divine message, it was Lady Khadija who comforted him and immediately believed in his prophethood. She holds the unparalleled honor of being the first person ever to accept Islam.
Sacrifice for Islam
She placed her entire fortune at the disposal of the Prophet to support the fledgling Muslim community, buy the freedom of persecuted slaves, and sustain the believers during the brutal three-year boycott in the valley of Abu Talib. The Prophet (PBUH) later said, "Islam did not rise except through Ali's sword and Khadija's wealth." She is the beloved mother of Lady Fatima (s.a.).
প্রারম্ভিক জীবন এবং বিবাহ
হযরত খাদিজা (সা. আ.) ছিলেন প্রাক-ইসলামী আরবের অন্যতম সফল, ধনী এবং সম্মানিত ব্যবসায়ী। তাঁর বাণিজ্য কাফেলা পরিচালনার জন্য নিযুক্ত তরুণ মুহাম্মদ (সা.)-এর সততা এবং নিষ্ঠায় মুগ্ধ হয়ে তিনি নিজেই তাঁকে বিয়ের প্রস্তাব দেন। তাঁদের বিবাহ গভীর পারস্পরিক শ্রদ্ধা, ভালোবাসা এবং আধ্যাত্মিক ঐক্যের ওপর নির্মিত হয়েছিল।
প্রথম মুমিন
যখন নবী (সা.) হেরা গুহায় প্রথম ওহী লাভ করেন এবং ঐশী বার্তার ভারে কাঁপতে কাঁপতে বাড়ি ফিরে আসেন, তখন হযরত খাদিজাই তাঁকে সান্ত্বনা দিয়েছিলেন এবং অবিলম্বে তাঁর নবুওয়াতের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছিলেন। তিনি ইসলামের ইতিহাসে প্রথম ইসলাম গ্রহণকারী ব্যক্তি হওয়ার অনন্য সম্মান ধারণ করেন।
ইসলামের জন্য আত্মত্যাগ
তিনি তাঁর সম্পূর্ণ ধন-সম্পদ নবীর হাতে তুলে দেন, যাতে নবগঠিত মুসলিম সম্প্রদায়কে সমর্থন করা যায়, নির্যাতিত দাসদের স্বাধীনতা কেনা যায় এবং আবু তালিব উপত্যকায় তিন বছরের নিষ্ঠুর বয়কটের সময় মুমিনদের টিকিয়ে রাখা যায়। নবী (সা.) পরে বলেছিলেন, "আলীর তলোয়ার এবং খাদিজার সম্পদ ছাড়া ইসলাম কখনো মাথা তুলে দাঁড়াতে পারত না।" তিনি হযরত ফাতিমা (সা. আ.)-এর স্নেহময়ী মাতা।
