A Blessing for Her People
Juwayriyya was the daughter of the chief of the Banu Mustaliq tribe. During a military campaign, her tribe was defeated and she was taken captive. She approached the Prophet (PBUH) seeking help to pay her ransom. The Prophet paid her ransom and offered to marry her. Upon hearing that the Prophet had married the daughter of their chief, the Muslim army immediately freed all the captives of Banu Mustaliq, declaring it improper to hold the Prophet's new in-laws as captives.
Conversion of a Tribe
Due to this immense act of grace, the entire tribe of Banu Mustaliq embraced Islam. She was described by Aisha as the woman who brought the greatest blessing to her people.
A Life of Worship
Shia historians remember Juwayriyya as a woman of profound devotion. She spent long hours in her prayer mat praising God. There are famous narrations where the Prophet left her reciting dhikr in the morning and returned hours later to find her still sitting in the same spot, deeply engaged in worship.
তাঁর সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য একটি আশীর্বাদ
জুওয়াইরিয়া ছিলেন বনু মুস্তালিক গোত্রের প্রধানের কন্যা। একটি সামরিক অভিযানের সময় তাঁর গোত্র পরাজিত হয় এবং তাঁকে বন্দি করা হয়। তিনি তাঁর মুক্তিপণ পরিশোধে সাহায্যের জন্য নবী (সা.)-এর কাছে আসেন। নবী তাঁর মুক্তিপণ পরিশোধ করেন এবং তাঁকে বিয়ের প্রস্তাব দেন। নবী তাঁদের প্রধানের কন্যাকে বিয়ে করেছেন শুনে মুসলিম সেনাবাহিনী অবিলম্বে বনু মুস্তালিকের সমস্ত বন্দিকে মুক্ত করে দেয় এবং ঘোষণা করে যে নবীর নতুন আত্মীয়দের বন্দি হিসেবে রাখা অনুচিত।
একটি গোত্রের ধর্মান্তর
এই অপরিসীম অনুগ্রহের কারণে বনু মুস্তালিকের সমগ্র গোত্র ইসলাম গ্রহণ করে। আয়েশা তাঁকে এমন একজন নারী হিসেবে বর্ণনা করেছিলেন যিনি তাঁর সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য সবচেয়ে বড় আশীর্বাদ নিয়ে এসেছিলেন।
ইবাদতের জীবন
শিয়া ইতিহাসবিদরা জুওয়াইরিয়াকে গভীর ভক্তির একজন নারী হিসেবে স্মরণ করেন। তিনি আল্লাহর প্রশংসায় তাঁর জায়নামাজে দীর্ঘ সময় ব্যয় করতেন। এমন বিখ্যাত বর্ণনা রয়েছে যেখানে নবী তাঁকে সকালে জিকির করতে রেখে গিয়েছিলেন এবং কয়েক ঘন্টা পরে ফিরে এসে তাঁকে ঠিক একই স্থানে বসে গভীরভাবে ইবাদতে মগ্ন দেখতে পেয়েছিলেন।
