Early Life and Background
Anas ibn al-Harith al-Kahili (r.a.) holds a distinct honor among the martyrs of Karbala as he was a companion (Sahabi) of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S). He had participated in the battles of Badr and Hunayn alongside the Prophet. Importantly, Anas had directly heard a Hadith from the Prophet regarding Imam Husayn (A.S.): "Surely, this son of mine will be killed in a land called Karbala. Whoever among you is present there must help him."
Role in Karbala
Remembering the Prophet's command, the elderly Anas joined Imam Husayn (A.S.) when he heard of his journey to Karbala. Despite his old age, his spirit remained youthful and full of devotion for the grandson of the Prophet.
Martyrdom
On the Day of Ashura, the aged warrior wrapped his turban tightly around his waist and tied a cloth around his sagging eyebrows so they would not obstruct his vision. When Imam Husayn (A.S.) saw this, tears filled his eyes, and he said, "May Allah reward you, O old man!" Anas entered the battlefield, proudly identifying himself as a companion of the Prophet and reciting war poetry. He managed to kill several enemy soldiers before he was embraced by martyrdom. প্রারম্ভিক জীবন ও পটভূমি
কারবালার শহীদদের মধ্যে আনাস ইবনে আল-হারিস আল-কাহেলী (রা.) একটি বিশেষ সম্মানের অধিকারী, কারণ তিনি পবিত্র নবী মুহাম্মাদ (সা.)-এর একজন সাহাবী ছিলেন। তিনি নবীর সাথে বদর ও হুনাইনের যুদ্ধে অংশ নিয়েছিলেন। গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় হলো, আনাস সরাসরি নবীর কাছ থেকে ইমাম হুসাইন (আ.) সম্পর্কে একটি হাদিস শুনেছিলেন: "নিশ্চয়ই আমার এই সন্তান কারবালা নামক ভূমিতে নিহত হবে। তোমাদের মধ্যে যে কেউ সেখানে উপস্থিত থাকবে, তাকে অবশ্যই সাহায্য করবে।"
কারবালায় ভূমিকা
নবীর আদেশ স্মরণ করে, বৃদ্ধ আনাস ইমাম হুসাইন (আ.)-এর কারবালায় যাত্রার কথা শুনে তাঁর সাথে যোগ দেন। বার্ধক্য সত্ত্বেও, নবীর দৌহিত্রের প্রতি তাঁর আত্মা ছিল তারুণ্যে ভরপুর এবং ভক্তিতে পরিপূর্ণ।
শাহাদাত
আশুরার দিন, বয়োবৃদ্ধ এই যোদ্ধা তাঁর পাগড়ি কোমরে শক্ত করে বেঁধে নেন এবং তাঁর ঝুলে পড়া ভ্রুর চারপাশে একটি কাপড় বাঁধেন যাতে তা তাঁর দৃষ্টিপথে বাধা সৃষ্টি না করে। ইমাম হুসাইন (আ.) যখন এটি দেখলেন, তখন তাঁর চোখ অশ্রুতে ভরে গেল এবং তিনি বললেন, "হে বৃদ্ধ, আল্লাহ আপনাকে পুরস্কৃত করুন!" আনাস যুদ্ধক্ষেত্রে প্রবেশ করেন, নিজেকে গর্বভরে নবীর সাহাবী হিসেবে পরিচয় দেন এবং যুদ্ধ-কবিতা আবৃত্তি করেন। শাহাদাত বরণের আগে তিনি বেশ কয়েকজন শত্রু সৈন্যকে হত্যা করতে সক্ষম হন। তাঁর আত্মত্যাগ আহলে বাইতের প্রতি চিরস্থায়ী ভালোবাসার একটি প্রমাণ। বিস্তারিত ইতিহাসের জন্য দেখুন ইমাম হুসাইনের সঙ্গীগণ।
