Early Life and Devotion
Salman ibn Mazarib al-Bajali belonged to the Bajila tribe and was the cousin of the prominent commander, Zuhayr ibn Qayn. Although Zuhayr initially avoided Imam Husayn (a.s.) on the journey, once he met the Imam and pledged his allegiance, Salman also firmly aligned himself with the Imam's righteous cause, demonstrating his deep-rooted faith.
Role at Karbala
Salman accompanied his cousin and Imam Husayn (a.s.) to Karbala. On the Day of Ashura, he sought permission from the Imam to face the enemy. Detailed in the chronicles of Karbala, Salman fought valiantly, striking down several of Yazid's soldiers before he was ultimately martyred. His sacrifice is a testament to the transformative power of the Imam's mission.
প্রাথমিক জীবন এবং ভক্তি
সালমান ইবনে মাজারিব আল-বাজালী বাজিলা গোত্রের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলেন এবং বিশিষ্ট সেনাপতি জুহাইর ইবনে কায়নের চাচাতো ভাই ছিলেন। যদিও জুহাইর প্রাথমিকভাবে যাত্রাপথে ইমাম হোসাইন (আঃ) কে এড়িয়ে চলছিলেন, কিন্তু একবার যখন তিনি ইমামের সাথে দেখা করেন এবং তাঁর আনুগত্যের শপথ নেন, তখন সালমানও দৃঢ়ভাবে ইমামের ন্যায়সঙ্গত উদ্দেশ্যের সাথে নিজেকে যুক্ত করেন, যা তাঁর গভীর বিশ্বাসের প্রমাণ।
কারবালায় ভূমিকা
সালমান তাঁর চাচাতো ভাই এবং ইমাম হোসাইন (আঃ) এর সাথে কারবালায় গিয়েছিলেন। আশুরার দিন, তিনি শত্রুদের মুখোমুখি হওয়ার জন্য ইমামের কাছ থেকে অনুমতি চেয়েছিলেন। কারবালার ঘটনাপঞ্জিতে বর্ণিত আছে যে, সালমান বীরত্বের সাথে যুদ্ধ করেছিলেন, ইয়াজিদের কয়েকজন সৈন্যকে হত্যা করার পর অবশেষে তিনি শহীদ হন। তাঁর আত্মত্যাগ ইমামের মিশনের রূপান্তরকারী শক্তির একটি প্রমাণ।
