Early Life and Devotion
Hanzala ibn As'ad al-Shibami belonged to the Banu Shibam tribe. He was a devout follower of the Ahl al-Bayt in Kufa. Known for his eloquence and bravery, Hanzala was deeply committed to the cause of Imam Husayn (a.s.). He was chosen by the Imam to deliver messages to Umar ibn Sa'd during the standoff at Karbala.
Role at Karbala
Before stepping onto the battlefield, Hanzala delivered a powerful and moving sermon to the enemy, reciting verses from the Quran (Surah Mumin) and warning them of the divine punishment for killing the grandson of the Prophet (s.a.w.a.). According to Shia historical sources, Imam Husayn (a.s.) praised his efforts and blessed him. Hanzala then fought courageously until he was surrounded and martyred, defending his Imam to his last breath.
প্রাথমিক জীবন এবং ভক্তি
হানজালা ইবনে আসাদ আল-শিবামী বনু শিবাম গোত্রের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলেন। তিনি কুফায় আহলে বাইতের একজন একনিষ্ঠ অনুসারী ছিলেন। তাঁর বাগ্মিতা এবং সাহসিকতার জন্য পরিচিত হানজালা ইমাম হোসাইন (আঃ) এর উদ্দেশ্যের প্রতি গভীরভাবে প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ ছিলেন। কারবালায় অবস্থানের সময় উমর ইবনে সাদের কাছে বার্তা পৌঁছে দেওয়ার জন্য ইমাম তাঁকে নির্বাচিত করেছিলেন।
কারবালায় ভূমিকা
যুদ্ধক্ষেত্রে পা রাখার আগে, হানজালা শত্রুদের উদ্দেশ্যে একটি শক্তিশালী এবং হৃদয়স্পর্শী ভাষণ দিয়েছিলেন, পবিত্র কোরআনের আয়াত (সূরা মুমিন) তেলাওয়াত করেছিলেন এবং নবী (সাঃ) এর নাতিকে হত্যা করার ঐশ্বরিক শাস্তি সম্পর্কে তাদের সতর্ক করেছিলেন। শিয়া ঐতিহাসিক সূত্র অনুসারে, ইমাম হোসাইন (আঃ) তাঁর প্রচেষ্টার প্রশংসা করেন এবং তাঁকে আশীর্বাদ করেন। এরপর হানজালা সাহসিকতার সাথে যুদ্ধ করেন যতক্ষণ না তিনি অবরুদ্ধ হয়ে শাহাদাত বরণ করেন, তাঁর শেষ নিঃশ্বাস পর্যন্ত ইমামকে রক্ষা করেন।
