Life and Role at Karbala
Abul Sha'tha Yazid ibn Ziyad al-Kindi (r.a.) was a renowned warrior and archer from Kufa. Initially, he arrived in Karbala as part of Umar ibn Sa'd's army. However, when the peaceful proposals of Imam Husayn (a.s) were unjustly rejected by the Umayyad commanders, his conscience awakened. He defected from the enemy ranks and proudly joined Imam Husayn (a.s).
During the battle of Ashura, he knelt before Imam Husayn (a.s) and fired 100 arrows at the enemy, out of which 95 hit their marks. Whenever he shot an arrow, Imam Husayn (a.s) prayed: "O Allah, direct his aim and reward him with Paradise." Once his arrows were exhausted, he drew his sword and fought valiantly until he achieved martyrdom.

জীবন ও কারবালায় ভূমিকা
আবুল শাশা ইয়াজিদ ইবনে জিয়াদ আল-কিন্দি (রা.) ছিলেন কুফার একজন বিখ্যাত যোদ্ধা এবং তীরন্দাজ। প্রাথমিকভাবে তিনি উমর ইবনে সা'দের বাহিনীর অংশ হিসেবে কারবালায় এসেছিলেন। কিন্তু যখন উমাইয়া সেনাপতিরা ইমাম হোসাইন (আ.) এর শান্তিপূর্ণ প্রস্তাবগুলো অন্যায়ভাবে প্রত্যাখ্যান করে, তখন তাঁর বিবেক জাগ্রত হয়। তিনি শত্রুপক্ষ ত্যাগ করে সগর্বে ইমাম হোসাইন (আ.) এর সাথে যোগ দেন।
আশুরার যুদ্ধে তিনি ইমাম হোসাইন (আ.) এর সামনে হাঁটু গেড়ে বসে শত্রুদের দিকে ১০০টি তীর নিক্ষেপ করেন, যার মধ্যে ৯৫টি লক্ষ্যভেদ করে। প্রতিবার তীর ছোঁড়ার সময় ইমাম হোসাইন (আ.) দোয়া করতেন: "হে আল্লাহ, তাঁর লক্ষ্যকে সঠিক করুন এবং তাঁকে জান্নাত দান করুন।" তাঁর তীর শেষ হয়ে যাওয়ার পর তিনি তলোয়ার বের করেন এবং শাহাদাত লাভের আগ পর্যন্ত বীরত্বের সাথে যুদ্ধ করেন।
