Imam Hasan ibn Ali (a.s.)

Birth and Childhood

Imam Hasan (a.s.) was born in Medina on the 15th of Ramadan. The Prophet (PBUH) named him on divine command. The Prophet deeply loved him and his brother Husayn, famously saying, "Hasan and Husayn are the leaders of the youth of Paradise." He grew up under the direct guidance of the Prophet for the first seven years of his life.

Imamate and the Peace Treaty

He assumed the Imamate after the martyrdom of his father, Imam Ali (a.s.). He briefly held the position of Caliph, but facing immense betrayal from his army commanders and recognizing the hypocrisy of Muawiya, he signed a historic peace treaty. This treaty was not a surrender, but a strategic move to unmask the true face of the Umayyads and protect the lives of the remaining true believers.

Character and Generosity

He was known as the most generous person of his time, often giving away his entire wealth for the sake of Allah. He was incredibly patient, famously forgiving a Syrian man who cursed him and treating him with such kindness that the man realized his error and embraced his Wilayah.
