Birth and Early Life

Lady Fatima (s.a.) was born in Mecca to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Lady Khadija (s.a.). She was raised in the house of revelation. Her childhood was marked by the severe persecution her father faced. She would often clean the dust and filth thrown upon her father by the pagans of Mecca, earning her the title Umm Abiha (The Mother of her Father).

Marriage and Family

She married Imam Ali (a.s.) in Medina. Their marriage was a divine union, and together they established a household of pure piety, simplicity, and devotion to Allah. She is the mother of the leaders of the youth of Paradise, Imam Hasan (a.s.) and Imam Husayn (a.s.), and the brave Lady Zaynab (s.a.). The Prophet (PBUH) famously declared, "Fatima is a part of me; whoever angers her, angers me."

Contribution to Islam

Her contribution to Islam is unparalleled. She is the connecting link between Prophethood and Imamate. Following the Prophet's passing, she fiercely defended the Wilayah (guardianship) of Imam Ali (a.s.). Her famous Sermon of Fadak remains a masterpiece of monotheism, justice, and Islamic philosophy.

Duas and Practices

She gifted the Ummah the profound Tasbih of Lady Fatima, a post-prayer recitation consisting of 34 Allahu Akbar, 33 Alhamdulillah, and 33 Subhanallah. Another famous supplication is Dua Nur, which she taught to Salman al-Farsi.
