The Title Al-Kadhim
Imam Musa (a.s.) was renowned for his patience and ability to suppress anger, earning him the title Al-Kadhim (the one who swallows his anger). Even towards those who mistreated him, he showed immense kindness and generosity, often transforming his enemies into loyal followers.
Imprisonment
During the reign of the tyrannical Abbasid caliph Harun al-Rashid, the Imam's growing influence became a threat to the throne. Consequently, he spent much of his Imamate transferred from one dark dungeon to another. Despite the horrific conditions, the Imam spent his days fasting and nights in deep prayer, viewing his imprisonment as an opportunity for uninterrupted worship.
Bab al-Hawa’ij
He is widely known as Bab al-Hawa’ij (The Door to Fulfilling Needs). Millions of believers flock to his shrine in Kadhimiya (Baghdad) seeking intercession, and countless miraculous responses to prayers have been recorded at his holy tomb.
